Responsibilities

Lead major ground up Multifamily projects in the Chicago area from initial planning through completion, including design coordination, permitting, procurement, construction, and closeout
Maintain responsibility for project budgets, schedules, and financial performance; identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Work with architectural and engineering teams to review drawings for constructability and alignment with project objectives
Direct subcontractor bidding, scope reviews, negotiations, and contract execution
Manage and mentor project staff such as project managers, engineers, and site superintendents
Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, partners, and municipalities; provide regular project updates and reporting
Ensure project activities comply with applicable codes, safety requirements, and company standards
Oversee project turnover, punch lists, close-out documentation, and warranty processes

Required

Approximately 10–15 years of experience in construction management, development, or general contracting
Broad understanding of building systems, construction methods, scheduling tools, and cost control
Demonstrated success leading complex, high-value projects; experience with large multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial work is a plus
Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with clients, design teams, and public agencies
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and guide diverse teams toward shared project goals
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related discipline

Preferred

Professional credentials such as PMP, PE, or LEED accreditation are beneficial but not required
