Responsibilities
Lead a fast-paced accounts payable department, handling vendor relationships and weekly payment processing (checks, ACH, credit cards)
Oversee expense reporting and general ledger functions
Ensure compliance with federal and state payment regulations, including annual 1099 filings
Maintain accuracy and timeliness of system entries and payments
Resolve complex issues from staff or vendors
Manage monthly financial close and ensure accurate financial statements
Develop and improve processes for operational efficiency and scalability
Review documentation for policy compliance
Train and evaluate team members
Support mergers, acquisitions, and special projects
Assist with annual audit requests
Qualification
Required
5+ years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and regulations
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
Proficiency in Excel and business software
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, not required but preferred
3-5 years of leadership experience preferred
