Responsibilities

Steward day-to-day cost and inventory accounting activities, including month-end entries, account reconciliations, and accuracy checks across product and work-order records

Maintain and enhance product costing processes, setting and reviewing standard costs, updating program cost files, and supporting the annual cost refresh

Track and interpret key manufacturing and margin metrics (e.g., absorption, cost variances, PPV), preparing regular reports and explaining notable shifts or trends

Investigate inventory discrepancies and cycle-count issues, identifying underlying causes and championing corrective actions with operations teams

Partner with manufacturing and cross-functional groups to provide cost insight, develop cost analyses, and ensure data integrity across systems

Support compliance and audit activities, including SOX or regulatory reviews, and help refine internal controls and accounting system processes

Optionally guide or mentor cost accounting team members, contributing to skill development and process consistency
