The State of Wisconsin is hiring for the position of Applications and Infrastructure Support Technician- Senior. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing application changes to enhance productivity and efficiency at the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, while maintaining, updating, securing, and supporting the agency's applications and technology environment.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide technical support for servers, applications, databases, on-premises and Cloud-based infrastructure for multiple DOR applications

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems with application and database platforms, storage, operating systems, and networks

Communicate and coordinate extensively with DOR applications development staff, business area representatives, technical support staff and Department of Administration (DOA), Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) infrastructure services teams

Analyze new technologies to deliver new or enhanced systems

Implement IT architecture best practices, policies, and procedures to maintain a high level of application reliability and security

Required

Experience supporting on-premise systems in enterprise application environments

Experience supporting cloud platforms services (e.g., such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure (Microsoft Azure), or GCP (Google Cloud Platform))

Experience using scripting languages or programming languages (e.g., Windows Batch, PowerShell, PHP, Perl, Python etc.)

Experience deploying server-side applications or databases
