Engineering Manager
Confidential company is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead all engineering and design functions. The role involves managing engineering operations, ensuring technical excellence, and collaborating with various departments to deliver high-quality storage solutions.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership and strategic direction for all engineering activities to ensure safe, code-compliant, and cost-effective designs
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff to maintain high performance and professional growth
Serve as a technical authority in the design of chemical storage buildings, including structural, mechanical, and fire protection systems
Work directly with the General Manager and cross-functional teams to support company goals, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes and standards
Drive standardization, process improvement, and best practices within the engineering function
Collaborate with Sales and Estimating teams to evaluate project feasibility, provide technical input, and ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities
Support research and development initiatives for new or improved product designs, materials, and systems
Ensure that engineering practices comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Participate in and support audits, inspections, and quality control measures as necessary
Actively learn and engage in all aspects of the business, including manufacturing, quality control, and customer support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred
Minimum of 7 years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity
Demonstrated experience managing technical teams and multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
Master's Degree
Experience in custom metal fabrication, modular buildings, or industrial storage structures
Electrical and HVAC knowledge and experience
Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and standards including NFPA, OSHA, IBC, and EPA regulations
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and precision
Proficiency in engineering and design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and related tools
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and deadlines
Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to be actively involved in daily operations to understand and optimize business processes
