Responsibilities
Review and interpret sketches, architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
Create custom cabinet and closet designs with complete technical and installation details
Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using cabinet design and CAD software (e.g., Mosaico, AutoCAD, or similar)
Develop accurate plans, elevations, and sections that align with design intent and construction requirements
Evaluate design feasibility based on functionality, aesthetics, budget, materials, and manufacturing constraints
Revise designs to accommodate changes and resolve technical challenges
Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes and industry standards
Collaborate with team members to select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware
Provide technical input regarding manufacturability and installation requirements
Prepare clear technical documentation, including material schedules and cut lists
Maintain an organized library of drawings and specifications
Support final plan reviews and cabinet engineering
Assist with cabinet ordering and coordination with internal teams
Participate in drawing reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and operational processes
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in cabinet design, closet systems, and semi-custom cabinetry is required
High proficiency in cabinet design software (such as Mosaico) and CAD tools (AutoCAD or similar)
Skilled CAD operator with strong attention to detail
Knowledge of building codes and construction standards
Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Experience with budgeting and production schedules
Effective team player with strong communication skills
