Responsibilities

Participate in highly complex projects and solve technical problems while working in an agile environment

Work collaboratively on a geographically diverse agile team to develop and enhance complex systems and/or software from user stories and technical/architectural specifications

Help solve business problems and drive direct outcomes through innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations, driving best in class claims experiences

Document and build deployment guides aimed at maintaining robust, relevant software

Translate customer requirements into technical applications and support the implementation of new software

Tackle technical challenges and ensure quality as we move from legacy technologies to next-generation applications

Identify opportunities to enhance performance, quality and efficiency

Required

A minimum of eight years of software engineering experience

A history of translating business requirements into technical designs

Agile engineering capabilities and a design-thinking mindset

Collaboration, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to manage time and prioritize work with a globally distributed development team

Well-developed oral and written communication skills for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineers

Leveraging AI/ML tools into software development, including integration, monitoring, and optimization

Proficiency in software engineering languages and tools, including Java, Spring Boot, AWS and RESTful services, spanning horizontal and vertical packages

An understanding of how modifications affect different parts of a system and an ability to explain your decision-making process to non-engineers

A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience

Preferred

Experience working with Guidewire ClaimCenter a plus
