Data Center Oracle Pathways Trainee
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is expanding rapidly, and they are looking for Data Center Technicians to join their Infrastructure Operations team through the Pathways Trainee Program. This program is designed to give hands-on experience ensuring the availability and reliability of services, with the goal of transitioning to permanent full-time positions.

Responsibilities
Shipping and receiving: inspect, accept/reject goods, verify shipments, and track all inbound/outbound activity
Inventory management: maintain accurate asset location records and perform cycle counts
Safely move and stage equipment; support installation/removal of hardware
Coordinate with construction, engineering, and vendors to meet project deliverables
Ensure safety and security compliance in all logistics operations
Document equipment movements and analyze logistics for process improvements
Provide escorts to supervise third-party vendors during maintenance
Diagnose and resolve hardware issues on servers, network devices, and storage systems
Replace faulty hardware components (CPU, RAM, drives, cards, power, cables)
Install and decommission equipment during system upgrades or refreshes
Perform routine equipment/system maintenance
Monitor for issues and respond swiftly to minimize downtime
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and vendors to resolve complex issues
Manage and update service tickets
Follow standard operating and maintenance procedures
Maintain cleanliness and security of operational areas
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Enthusiasm for technology and a strong desire to start a career in data center operations
Willingness to learn new technical skills and follow established processes with precision
Ability to collaborate effectively in an inclusive team environment
Solid understanding of fundamental mathematical and computational concepts
Professional demeanor with strong communication skills
Understand that this role is physically demanding and requires hands-on work rather than desk-based tasks
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces as required
Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required
Must have own vehicle for reliable transportation to the Abilene, TX data center location
