They are seeking a Research Data Supervisor II to manage the Occupational Survey Group, overseeing the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics Program and leading multiple program units in collecting occupational data.

Responsibilities

Manage the Occupational Survey Group (OSG), overseeing the administration of the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) Program

Utilize positive leadership skills in coaching and leading two program units responsible for conducting surveys designed to collect occupational employment and wage data from California employers

Directly supervise two Research Data Supervisor Is, one Research Data Specialist II, and one Research Data Specialist I

Assign projects, provide direction, and monitor progress

Conduct performance reviews and promote staff development opportunities

Responsible for administrative duties in support of strategic and operational planning, succession planning, budget development and management, personnel practices and recruitment, internal control procedures, and review of legislation for its effect on the division's programs

Serve as a departmental representative at meetings and conferences

Provide consultant services to the Department and other organizational entities using LMI products and services

Deliver presentations to staff, senior management, executive management, and other internal and external customers
