Environment Concept Artist [Spring Contract]
Sunblink is looking for an Environment Concept Artist to help set visual direction and inspiration for cozy adventure game worlds. The role involves crafting visually distinct environments, creating visual and cultural targets, and collaborating with a high-level creative team.

Responsibilities
Use your wide-ranging concept skills to help set visual direction and inspiration for cozy adventure game worlds
Have a commanding sense of color, shape, and composition
Understand what makes designs iconic and stand out from the crowd
Be passionate about world building and understanding where and how design communicates purpose and culture
Craft visually distinct and stunningly beautiful environments that contain both natural and man-made elements, all with an air of the fantastic
Help create visual targets and guidelines - you’re communicating vision as much as generating assets
Help create cultural targets and guidelines - it isn’t just about how a place looks, but the lives and ecosystems and nuance that makes it what it is
Proactively iterate and explore ideas while embracing feedback
In addition to your own style, you should have flexibility to generate a few pieces in a given style
Have a wide visual library to pull from across time periods, geographies, and civilizations
Qualification
Required
Have a commanding sense of color, shape, and composition
Understand what makes designs iconic and stand out from the crowd
Be passionate about world building and understanding where and how design communicates purpose and culture
Craft visually distinct and stunningly beautiful environments that contain both natural and man-made elements, all with an air of the fantastic
Help create visual targets and guidelines - you're communicating vision as much as generating assets

Portfolio demonstrating strong skill in visual design and development
At least one shipped product (comic, book, game, etc)
Experience (and comfort!) rapidly iterating on visual designs, throwing a lot away
Experience making shippable, final work
Experience working on a cross-disciplinary team (at least one project/reference)
