They are seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager for their construction materials-aggregates group, responsible for planning, designing, and permitting mine operations, as well as mentoring junior engineers and contributing to organizational growth.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of planning, designing, and permitting mine operations from exploration to production and processing

Evaluate geologic and resource models

Develop surface and underground mine plans for aggregate deposits

Assess site constraints related to regulatory, environmental, and permitting requirements

Design operational facility plans

Evaluate and improve processing plants

Provide and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Mentor junior engineers and geologists

Contribute to the long-term growth and sustainability of the organization

Occasional travel to client sites and regional offices may be required

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in geology, mining, geological, or civil engineering

A minimum of 8 years of experience in mining aggregate, crushed stone, sand and gravel, cement, and/or consulting industries

Registered professional engineer/ professional geologist or ability to obtain upon hire

At least 5 years of project management experience

Leadership and team management experience

Experience in technical report writing

Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel

Preferred

Experience in commercial engineering and mining software (e.g., AutoCAD, Carlson, Surpac, Vulcan, Carlson, Minesched, and GIS)
