Lab Coordinator
Massachusetts Institute of Technology is seeking a Lab Coordinator for the Plasma Science and Fusion Center. The role involves supporting lab research, administration, and safety protocols, as well as collaborating with lab staff and overseeing research activities.

Responsibilities
Supporting, developing and contributing to a broad range of lab laboratory research, lab administration and technical duties
Maintaining and overseeing protocols and practices for laboratory safety
Serves as primary contact for all laboratory staff including undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral associates
Participate in and/or oversee research activities of the lab
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Physics or Engineering or a closely related scientific field
a minimum of four years of experience, may include experience gained as an undergraduate
strong organizational, written and verbal communication, presentation and technical/scientific writing skills
strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a diverse team of graduate students, postdocs, research staff, and the ability to promote collaboration and cooperation among teams
time management and planning, and problem-solving skills
experience with Microsoft Office suite
Preferred
Master's degree and lab operations experience
experience conducting plasma physics and fusion research (experiment, modelling or simulation)
experience teaching in physics or engineering field
