Network Engineer Senior
Maricopa County’s Office of Enterprise Technology is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to be a key member of the network infrastructure team. The role involves providing senior-level network engineering services including planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining the enterprise network.

Responsibilities
Design, configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and related services for Web support
Lead in the diagnosis and resolve complex network problems
Proactively identify and implement automation and scripting that improve operational efficiencies and reduce the need for manual checklist completions
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
Act as a collaborative service provider to our internal and external customers
Partner with software engineering, product, and architecture to shape engineering approaches; share knowledge and experience
Define & review end state architectural design documents
Review existing policies and procedures to identify potential gaps, problems or opportunities for improvement and develop recommendations
Mentor engineers with technical knowledge. Act as SME in the definition and policy making of network and security protocols
Qualification
Required
Five years of experience in network operations and engineering, which includes: Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing networking solutions
Experience in Enterprise LAN/WAN and Wireless topologies
Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, MPLS, NSX-T, ACI, Multicast, Telco Services, VPN, and network automation
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
Preferred
Experience with Software Defined Networking
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or higher
Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE)
