Maintenance Technician Trainee

Responsibilities
Assist in completing work orders related to physical maintenance and repairs of assigned buildings using work order software systems
Support routine physical improvements to the property
Respond to emergencies in accordance with departmental protocols
Assist the Supervisor in maintaining equipment, tools, supplies, stock inventories, and logs
Communicate building status and changes effectively to appropriate individuals
Adhere to all safety standards, policies and procedures, codes of conduct, and industry best practices
Act professionally and courteously at all times with tenants, hospital clients, co-workers, vendors, and patients
Use materials, supplies, tools, and building property safely and efficiently
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be located in Libertyville, IL area with availability for after-hours emergencies and participation in on-call rotation
Must be in office (onsite) 5 days a week
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and perform extensive walking
Basic computer skills and comfort using maintenance or work order software
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
Technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields preferred
Customer service experience preferred
