Responsibilities
Design and develop a wide range of girls' apparel, with a focus on both style and functionality
Create and conceptualize seasonal collections that reflect the brand's aesthetic while catering to the target customer
Work closely with the product development team to ensure designs are executed accurately, on-time, and within budget
Stay on top of market trends, children's fashion, and emerging materials to incorporate new ideas into collections
Conduct fittings and provide feedback on fit, styling, and construction to ensure designs meet quality standards
Collaborate with the fabric sourcing and merchandising teams to select age-appropriate fabrics, prints, and trims
Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make design improvements and support product innovation
Maintain strong communication with the production team to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of designs
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in fashion design, ideally girls/juniors apparel
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD
Deep understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and trims suitable for children's wear
Creative, innovative, and able to translate market trends into practical, on-brand designs for the target customer
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to balance design aesthetics with comfort and wearability
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across various teams
Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
Preferred
A fashion-related degree or equivalent experience is highly preferred
