Pet Supplies Plus is focused on making it easier to get better products for your pet. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for planning, selecting, and purchasing key programs and brands for merchandising categories, driving sales and margin growth while analyzing trends and competition.

Responsibilities

Driving sales and margin for assigned categories

Owning category strategy—monitor trends and act quickly to maximize results

Creating annual and monthly plans for category sales and margin growth

Negotiating through JBP to secure cost, marketing support, and distribution

Managing assortment and planograms for all brands and items

Planning and executing promotions across stores and eCommerce with strong messaging

Building partnerships with internal teams, private brand, vendors, and distributors

Engaging field teams—provide tools and training to drive flawless execution

Analyzing competition and trends to grow market share

Partnering with inventory and logistics to ensure in-stock and smooth flow

Using AI, data and predictive analytics to optimize assortment, pricing, and promos

Integrating strategies across in-store and digital channels for personalization

Identifying opportunities to grow private brand for differentiation and profitability
