Responsibilities
Design, configure, and manage the infrastructure required for the Oracle Fusion upgrade program, including on-premises and cloud environments (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
Collaborate with the implementation vendor and Oracle experts to ensure the optimal and flexible architecture is designed to support 24•7 uptime requirements for a manufacturing environment
Collaborate with the deployment leads, cross functional IT team members within the networking team, infrastructure and platform teams to ensure that Regeneron standards are being followed
Be responsible for platform readiness, including server provisioning, database configurations, middleware setup, and network connectivity
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements including any GXP requirements
Ensure the newly implemented Fusion Cloud environment will integrate seamlessly with the existing Production ERP (in OCI) environment and transition is uneventful
Conduct performance assessments of the current Oracle Fusion environment and identify optimization opportunities
Develop and implement performance testing strategies, including load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing to support a global audience and large data volumes
Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for tuning database, middleware, and application layers
Serve as the technical lead for all infrastructure and performance-related aspects of the Oracle Cloud Fusion upgrade program
Provide guidance on best practices for system architecture, integration, and platform upgrades
Ensure Oracle released patches and updates are applied regularly to ensure we are on the latest version
Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and ensure program milestones are met
Identify potential risks related to infrastructure and system performance and develop mitigation strategies proactively
Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve infrastructure and performance-related issues during the upgrade process
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery mechanisms are in place and tested
Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand performance requirements and SLAs
Collaborate with Oracle architects, support teams and third-party implementation vendors for technical support and issue resolution
Communicate progress, risks, and issues to senior management and program leadership
Responsible for SOPs for day-to-day operations, quarterly patch management and system cleanup for an optimized environment are documented
Responsible for periodically review and update system configurations to align with current workload demands
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, platform management, and performance optimization
Proven experience with Oracle Fusion applications, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle PAAS, OICS and related technologies
Hands-on experience with database management (e.g., Oracle Database), middleware (e.g., WebLogic, Oracle Integration Cloud), and enterprise application performance tuning specifically related to Oracle tech stack
Expertise in cloud infrastructure (e.g., OCI, AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments
Proficiency in performance testing tools and monitoring solutions (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, APM tools)
In-depth knowledge of disaster recovery, high availability, and system scalability best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
Leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendors
Preferred
Master's degree
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certifications
Oracle Cloud Fusion Infrastructure, DBA, Security certifications
ITIL certification for service management
PMP or Agile certifications
