Responsibilities

Schedules patient appointments into the patient scheduling system, verify/confirm patient information

Contacts third party payers for benefit and pre-certification information and enters the information into the billing system

Registers patients into the INTEGRIS Health patient registration system with a minimum of 98% accuracy while obtaining all required signatures for admission

Collects checks and cash for co-pays and deductibles

Performs financial counseling to patient/family as it pertains to benefits and hospitalizations and explains the billing system

Verifies the procedure schedule on an ongoing/daily basis

The Office Coordinator reports to the Department Supervisor/Director

This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements

2 years scheduling or related experience

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and 25 wpm typing

Must be able to communicate effectively in English
