Upper School Spanish Teacher
Head-Royce School is seeking a full-time Upper School Spanish teacher to join their team, beginning in August 2026. The role involves engaging students in experiential learning and evolving classroom pedagogy while participating in community life and advising students.

Responsibilities
Experience teaching Spanish at a variety of levels
The ability to teach a heritage oriented Spanish class is a significant plus
Empathetic and clear communicator with students, colleagues, and parents
Demonstrated understanding of and curiosity regarding curriculum design as well as varied pedagogical approaches including UbD and UDL
In addition, candidates should be familiar with the ACTFL 'World-Readiness Standards for Language Learning
Strong speaking, writing, planning, and organizational skills
Ability to participate in an outdoor education trip for three nights (additional stipend paid)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Language and/or Literature or equivalent area of study
Fluent or Native Spanish speaker
2 years minimum teaching experience
Demonstrated desire to teach at the high school level
Proven ability to teach a variety of Spanish classes at the high school level
Ability to provide proof of Fingerprint and TB clearance
Experience teaching Spanish at a variety of levels
