Manufacturing Engineer
LHH is a leading manufacturer of ASME and non‑ASME certified pressure vessels used in fluid control applications. The Manufacturing Engineer will drive process improvements, equipment optimization, and product quality initiatives throughout the facility, essential for maintaining operational excellence while supporting new product introductions in a precision-driven manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct time studies, develop routings, and optimize shop floor layouts
Lead continuous improvement programs (5S, equipment upgrades, line balancing, etc.)
Launch new products and support testing of equipment and designs
Bridge Production and Engineering to improve manufacturability and throughput
Manage vendors and oversee equipment relocations/upgrades
Develop RFQs for new equipment and turnkey installations
Advance LEAN initiatives with a focus on problem-solving
Build and implement TPM systems focused on uptime improvement
Support programming for robotics, ProNest, shop floor systems, and more
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience with ERP systems (Infor Visual is a plus)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Hands-on experience in continuous improvement, equipment troubleshooting, and manufacturing processes
Ability to develop and maintain routings, standards, and BOM structures
ERP optimization for scheduling and MRP
CAD updates for subassemblies
Strong root-cause analysis mindset; comfortable on the shop floor
3–5 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
Preferred
SolidWorks or comparable 3D modeling experience preferred
Working knowledge of tanks, vessels, HVAC systems, or fluid control equipment
Understanding of fluid dynamics and thermal systems
Familiarity with ASME pressure vessel design concepts
Knowledge of carbon steel/stainless steel materials, linings (epoxy, cement, glass), and pressure ratings
Exposure to custom, made-to-order manufacturing environments
