Gaza Risk and Compliance Officer (Nationals only)
Save the Children Colombia is seeking a Risk and Compliance Officer to support the Risk and Compliance Manager. The role involves risk identification, assessment, and management, as well as conducting compliance checks and leading fraud investigations to ensure organizational integrity and accountability.

Responsibilities
Support the organisation’s Risk and Compliance manager in risk identification and assessment processes
Be aware of SCI Risk Framework tools and techniques (including PART/SCARF/ Datix)
Provide insight support to award risk assessments
Support in facilitating risk management processes
Conduct Risk Assessments in line with the Annual Risk and Compliance plan
Provide Support to ensure Risk prevention measures are fit for purpose
Provide support on internal control/ mitigation design for new projects or processes
Provide support for risk prevention expertise to major humanitarian incidents
Develop actionable and applicable mitigation plans derived from internal audits/risk assessments
Conduct compliance checks/ reviews to provide assurance on key risk management controls
Support Risk and Compliance Manager in developing annual workplans for compliance/ spot checks/audit reviews on key Management controls E.g. field office audits, vetting spot checks ,operational audits
Support in reviewing/attending key control meetings/ process and ensure that they are working & provide specialist input E.g. actively participating the in Country Control and Risk Committee meetings
Provide independent reporting of risk, incidents & investigations
Support in reporting of incidents in Datix that affect ability of an organisation to hit its objectives
Coordinate Fraud /CSG investigator training
Whistle blowing service provision & follow up
Successfully and actively lead fraud investigations with informed conclusions and actionable recommendations
Ensure all investigations are held with confidentiality, neutrality and integrity
Engage with the relevant stakeholders on investigations
Show empathy and compassion in conducting investigations and support in building a perception and culture of trust with the Risk and Compliance team
Track progress of risk actions so unit head can provide appropriate annual assurance on risks
Track audit/ investigation findings using adequate tools such as Ms Planner
Qualification
Required
Relevant university/higher education is required. (e.g. Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, Internal Control.)
Proven cross-cultural sensitivity and flexibility required
Demonstrable experience at a junior 3 year level within both the commercial and NGO sectors
High Fluency in writing and presentation skills in English
High level analytical and strategic thinking skills
A strong interest in international development/humanitarian work
Excellent business partnering and relationship building skills
Proven ability to have a highly strategic focus, whilst dealing competently with operational matters
Strong personal organisational and self-management skills with an ability work in teams and motivate others
Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
Willing to travel to support members directly or to relevant events as required

Preferred
Fluency in Arabic is highly desired
A programme experience, with strong analytical skills is preferable
