This role involves reviewing title documentation, identifying and resolving title issues, and issuing title insurance commitments and policies in compliance with internal guidelines and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

Underwrite, research, and prepare title insurance commitments and policies in accordance with internal and external policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Review title examinations, curative documentation, and supporting materials to assess risk and insurability

Identify title defects, liens, encumbrances, and other issues impacting title and determine appropriate underwriting requirements

Provide underwriting support, guidance, and authorization to company personnel, agents, and customers

Interpret underwriting guidelines and apply sound judgment to complex title matters

Ensure compliance with company standards, underwriting manuals, and industry regulations

Collaborate with escrow, title, and operations teams to facilitate timely policy issuance

Support commercial escrow and title functions in alignment with the Escrow and Title Commercial Job Matrix

Required

Strong understanding of title insurance underwriting principles

Ability to analyze title reports, legal descriptions, and real estate documentation

Strong organizational and time management skills

High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred

Additional education or industry certifications a plus
