The role involves representing and advising clients on issues such as divorce, domestic violence, child contact, and adoption, while working closely with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities
Representing and advising clients in a variety of family matters, not limited to but, including contentious cases concerning divorce and domestic violence, but also oversee family estates and offer advice on areas such as child contact and adoption
The successful Applicant will be expected to represent parties in care proceedings, for example, on behalf of the parent or children
Working closely with other members of the team, including but not limited to the Managing Director, as well as paralegals, secretaries, and other support staff
Providing advice to clients, in person, via telephone or video conference
Drafting legal documents as well as reviewing documentation; and
Representing clients in court
Representing clients in mediation and other forms of Non Court Dispute Resolution
Establishing a compelling position for the client, using a complete and accurate understanding of the matter and family law
Qualification
Required
Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or experienced Paralegal
Experience in representing and advising clients in a variety of family matters, including contentious cases concerning divorce and domestic violence
Ability to oversee family estates and offer advice on areas such as child contact and adoption
Experience in representing parties in care proceedings
Ability to work closely with other members of the team, including the Managing Director, paralegals, secretaries, and other support staff
Ability to provide advice to clients in person, via telephone or video conference
Experience in drafting legal documents and reviewing documentation
Experience in representing clients in court
Experience in representing clients in mediation and other forms of Non Court Dispute Resolution
Ability to establish a compelling position for the client using a complete and accurate understanding of the matter and family law
Ability to work to a target of 6 billable hours a day and cooperate with the firm's credit control arrangements
Ability to work effectively within a team and efficiently run an individual caseload
Professional, organised, competent, enthusiastic and ambitious
Ability to work with other fee earners and seek advice and assistance whenever needed to develop knowledge and skills
Ability to undertake regular file reviews in the office with a senior Solicitor to ensure compliance and client care
