Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver routine new business quotes and/or existing business renewals and/or accountings

Review work with mentor/manager and respond to requests for pricing and/or accounting balance alternatives based on financial analysis, underwriting principals and business strategy

Utilize basic functionality of underwriting tools, systems, and reference materials to produce accurate quotes, renewals and/or accountings

Escalate underwriting exceptions/financial variances for their assigned cases to the appropriate level

Basic understanding of the rate and/or administrative fee development process, pricing components, and application of underwriting and/or accounting policies

With supervision, assists sale personnel in explaining rate/fee, accounting balance development and communicating underwriting policy

Produce timely and accurate customer specific documents, deliverables and accounting related information

May assist department with projects or participate in work groups

Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills

Required

1-2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role

Demonstrated analytical and independent thinking skills

Strong attention to detail

Must be able to communicate effectively

Ability to use standard corporate software packages and corporate applications

Preferred

Knowledge of insurance, rating and underwriting concepts a plus
