Responsibilities
Act as an escalation point for high-impact customer issues involving networking infrastructure, latency, throughput, and load balancing failures
Lead deep-dive troubleshooting efforts across network, application, and infrastructure layers
Guide and review the configuration and optimization of load balancing systems (NGINX, HAProxy, F5, AWS ELB, etc.)
Partner with other teams to influence system reliability and scalability
Help define support best practices and contribute to postmortems and root cause analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline) with strong knowledge in: Multi-tier architecture, Enterprise software
2-5 years of experience in technical support, systems/network engineering, or infrastructure operations
Must include at least one year of real-world experience maintaining a production system
Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, routing, firewall rules, and packet-level debugging
Hands-on experience with load balancer technologies, reverse proxies, and traffic shaping
Strong Linux expertise and proficiency in scripting for diagnostics (e.g., Bash, Python)
Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (e.g., tcpdump, Wireshark, perf, Grafana, Prometheus)
Strong understanding of multi-tier web applications, protocols, and networking layers
Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills
For customer requirements, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents
Preferred
Experience with cloud solutions deployment and support
Familiarity with cloud-native networking (AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, etc.)
Cloud networking experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure (VPC, ELB, Transit Gateway, etc.)
Knowledge of CDN architectures and edge traffic management
Experience supporting applications with underlying technologies such as Windows, Linux, Oracle/SQL Server, Java applications, and Windows Application Add-ins
Ability to quickly shift from micro to macro perspective to understand how localized issues connect to larger systemic problems
