Responsibilities
Calling on existing customers and prospects to grow the Bank’s loan portfolio while managing risk and yield
Identifying needs of existing customers and recommending products based upon the bank’s credit policy and proper loan structuring, including providing necessary supporting information for credit to be underwritten
Providing assistance to help potential borrowers qualify for financing
Reviewing and discussing loan applications with prospective borrowers and approving credit based upon Bank underwriting policies
Following up with applicants and securing the necessary information to underwrite the loan, including inspecting collateral, if needed
Evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of commercial, real estate and personal loans
Presenting loan requests to loan review committee
Working with borrower, legal counsel, title company, and others as necessary to confirm that conditions of funding are met to close the loan
Working with Chief Lending Officer to identify unfilled borrower needs, competition and lending opportunities
Promoting the financial institution's lending services and participating in and promoting the institution’s community activities
Actively participating in local business and community activities and maintaining close contact with local builders, real estate brokers and agents, customers, and prospects
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong sales/business development skills
Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time management abilities
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred or 3+ years of lending/credit experience
Familiarity with loan documentation and regulatory requirements is a plus
