Part-time Research Assistant
Stanford University School of Medicine is looking for committed and detail-oriented research assistants for Spring and Summer 2026 to recruit participants for a study about a new NYC policy mandating added sugar warning labels in restaurant chains. Research assistants will gain experience in conducting field research, managing participant recruitment, and contributing to public health knowledge.

Responsibilities
Recruit participants for a study about a new NYC policy mandating added sugar warning labels in restaurant chains
Conduct field research in the community, troubleshooting survey procedures, and collecting data
Manage participant recruitment and screening
Approach residents on the street and ask them to complete a survey about their restaurant purchases
Qualification
Required
Must be comfortable traveling to and conducting surveys with residents in diverse communities in Philadelphia
Have at least three 3-hour blocks of time available in schedule every week from April-July
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Access to transportation (public or private) to move to a variety of locations throughout the city
Preferred
Available to work on weekends (desired but not required)
