Safety & Sustainability Engineer

The Safety & Sustainability Engineer will lead safety programs, ensure compliance with OSHA and ISO standards, and support sustainability initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities
Lead and improve safety programs aligned with OSHA and company standards and Support ISO 14001 compliance and environmental management systems
Identify and mitigate hazards through risk assessments, job safety analyses, and ergonomic evaluations and conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance at all levels
Drive incident investigations and implement corrective actions
Deliver engaging safety training for employees and contractors
Manage safety documentation, KPIs, OSHA logs, and reporting
Support sustainability initiatives in energy, waste, water, and carbon reduction
Track and analyze sustainability metrics to drive measurable improvements and Contribute to ESG reporting and corporate sustainability commitments
Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate safety and sustainability into new processes and projects
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001/45001 standards
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot trends and drive improvements
Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, shop-floor-first mindset
Experience with Scope 2 & 3 emissions, CSRD, and CO₂ reduction projects
Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, chemical, or industrial engineering (or related field)
Preferred
CHMM
LEED Green Associate
Lean/Six Sigma
sustainability reporting experience
