Labor And Employment Attorney
Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a broad range of employment law matters, including wage and hour laws, discrimination and harassment claims, and employment contracts
Draft and review employment-related documents, including employment contracts, severance agreements, and employee handbooks
Represent clients in litigation and administrative proceedings, including court hearings, arbitrations, state and federal administrative hearings, and mediations
Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on developments in labor and employment law (including 2026 updates to the California Labor Code and Equal Pay Act)
Draft and revise workplace policies, conduct employee trainings, and provide day-to-day advice and counsel to employers
Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
Minimum 1–3 years of experience practicing employment law in California
Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations (e.g., FEHA, CFRA, and updated PAGA 'reasonable steps' protocols)
Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills; ability to draft complex motions and advice memoranda
Caseload Management: Ability to work independently and handle a high-volume caseload effectively

Litigation Experience: Experience representing clients in litigation and administrative proceedings is preferred
