New Grad, Entry LevelLiberty University is seeking an Event Coordinator for their University Events Office, responsible for overseeing scheduling and logistical planning for events on campus. The role involves coordinating sound support, facility setup, and additional services for various events, while promoting professionalism and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
Develop and cultivate relationships with both on and off-campus customers
Provide support, information, and guidance in the process of scheduling and planning departmental events in Liberty University facilities
Assist with scheduling all external and wedding events all year round
Scheduling, logistical planning, and special coordination for external events and weddings
Develop policies and standards for scheduling external events and weddings
Help develop standard operating procedures for the University Events Office
Help lead and invest in teammates and student workers that are part of the University Events Office
Promote an atmosphere of professionalism and outstanding customer service in accordance with the Liberty Way
Complete special projects as assigned
Remains abreast of all events held on campus
Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LUโs mission
Qualification
Required
Four-year college degree in business or marketing or equivalent professional work experience preferred
Well-developed interpersonal communications skills and familiar with standard Microsoft Office computer software
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information
Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner
Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates
Strong organizational skills
Excellent computer skills
Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature
Required to travel to local and campus locations
Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard
Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally
Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building
Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business
Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds
Use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position
Proof of a valid Virginia driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required
