Data Center Maintenance Technician - Sabey Data Centers
Another Source’s client, Sabey Data Centers, is seeking Data Center Maintenance Technicians to maintain HVAC systems in their Quincy, WA facility. The role involves ensuring optimal environmental conditions for data center operations through cleaning, maintenance, and documentation of HVAC systems.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive cleaning of HVAC systems, including air handling units, ductwork, filters, coils, fans, and condensers
Use industry-standard techniques and materials to remove dust, debris, and contaminants, optimizing performance and efficiency
Replace air filters on a scheduled basis to maintain optimal air quality and system functionality
Keep detailed records of filter replacements and manage inventory to ensure timely replacements
Inspect and clean condenser coils to enhance air conditioning efficiency
Conduct routine maintenance on evaporator and condenser coils to prevent issues related to dirt buildup or restricted airflow
Maintain and clean ventilation components, including ductwork and exhaust systems
Inspect systems regularly to ensure proper airflow, temperature control, and operational efficiency
Maintain logs of maintenance activities, inspections, and schedules
Generate reports to document HVAC equipment status, maintenance history, and compliance with operational standards
Work closely with data center operations teams to align HVAC maintenance with facility requirements
Support installations, upgrades, and projects involving HVAC systems
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
Promote a culture of safety and report concerns or incidents promptly

Interface with technology and digital tools
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required
Physically capable of stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting 50+ lbs
Work independently with minimal instruction

Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
Basic knowledge of hand tools
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions
Attention to detail in cleaning and maintenance
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to data center-specific HVAC procedures
Aptitude and willingness to learn and utilize AI tools and technology
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required
Physically capable of stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting 50+ lbs
Work independently with minimal instruction
