Responsibilities

Greet the public and fellow employees and direct them to appropriate people or places for assistance

Accepts and conveys accurate and timely messages, routing telephone calls appropriately

Distributes mail coming into and originating from the office

Assists with monitoring and record keeping related to operating and capital budget

Processes travel requests and educational arrangements

Computerizes select information for ease of retrieval

Maintains office supplies

Schedules meetings upon request

Ensure integrity of communication systems with Personnel Department regarding status changes, PAFs, etc

Maintains and monitors system for recording and tracking personnel requisitions

Qualification

Fluent EnglishBasic computer knowledgeMulti-line telephoneMedical terminologyInterpersonal skills

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Read, write and speak fluent English

Basic knowledge of computers, multi-line telephones, copiers and calculators

Strong interpersonal skills required

Sits for prolonged periods

Ability to communicate verbally

Auditory and visual acuity to accurately perform job functions

Position may involve skin, eye, mucous membrane or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material

Preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology
