Responsibilities
Promote a safe, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and specialty service providers to support accurate pricing and future business opportunities
Review blueprints, specifications, and other project related requirements to develop clear and accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and outsourced services
Conduct site visits as necessary to assess conditions, gather project details, and identify potential cost and/or schedule impacts
Prepare estimates that will support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
Work closely with project managers, engineers, safety, and department supervisors to ensure seamless project launch
Support vendor and subcontractor selection by performing cost and scope analysis
Maintain an accurate directory of suppliers, subcontractors, and specialty service providers
Utilize company estimating tools such as B2W and Vista to ensure consistent and accurate estimating practices
Track how projects perform against estimates and contribute to lessons learned and process improvements
Provide ongoing estimating support throughout the project life cycle
Qualification
Required
3+ years of Estimating experience required
Previous experience in metal fabrication, skid work, vessels, and/or piping required
Ability to interpret blueprints, technical documents, and project requirements required
Working knowledge in estimating software required, prior experience with B2W and Vista highly preferred
Strong written & verbal communication skills and ability to interact/negotiate with various stakeholders required
Excellent organizational skills required
