Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize gear manufacturing processes (machining, hobbing, grinding, heat treat)
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure quality and performance
Select appropriate tools, materials, and machines for gear production
Design fixtures and special tooling to support manufacturing
Implement and support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for gear-related and product issues
Stay current with industry trends, gear standards (AGMA, ISO), and emerging technologies

Required

Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

Strong understanding of gear types (spur, helical, bevel, etc.) and gear cutting methods
