Senior Contract Manager
Neuwave Medical is a growth-stage medical device business being spun out of Johnson & Johnson, and they are seeking a Commercial Pricing & Contracts Manager. This role will lead pricing strategy, contract review, and commercial contracting operations to ensure business continuity and establish the necessary infrastructure for the new organization.
Responsibilities
Review all customer contracts assumed from J&J to ensure transferability, completeness, and compliance
Identify and resolve contract gaps, missing documentation, and transfer issues before go-live
Ensure customer master data, pricing, terms, and contract attributes are accurately loaded into NetSuite for Day 1 operations
Become the subject-matter expert on contracts already in negotiation to avoid losing momentum during the transition
Partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Customer Service to maintain continuity and prevent customer disruption
Develop and implement a go-forward pricing strategy and governance framework for Neuwave and Quantum Surgical
Analyze market dynamics, competitor pricing, and customer segmentation to support pricing recommendations
Maintain pricing policies, discounting guidelines, and supporting documentation
Build pricing calculators, tools, and proposals for use by the commercial team
Lead drafting, redlining, and administration of customer agreements, renewals, amendments, and pricing addenda
Ensure contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and company guidelines
Partner closely with Sales and leadership to support efficient negotiation cycles and strategic decision-making
Maintain a centralized contract repository and manage expiration dates, renewal timelines, and obligations
Create internal summaries/talking points to support customer negotiations
Work directly with Sales leaders to support pricing conversations, account strategy, and contract negotiations
Build strong relationships with hospitals, ASCs, IDNs, and national partners
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Health Economics, Sales Operations, and Reimbursement
Ensure contract and pricing structures are accurately configured and maintained in NetSuite, including: Pricing programs, Contract types, Contract terms and effective dates, Renewal timelines, Pricing incentives and exceptions
Collaborate on the future Salesforce.com CRM implementation, ensuring: Sales team visibility into contract terms, pricing, and renewal dates, Pricing governance is reflected in CRM workflows, Integration of contract master data with Salesforce object structures, Seamless communication between NetSuite and Salesforce
Build reports and dashboards to analyze contract performance, compliance, pricing trends, and customer profitability
Serve as the foundational leader for the pricing & contracting function
Identify future staffing needs and build a scalable team as the business grows
Establish and continuously improve contracting SOPs, templates, workflows, and service-level expectations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, Healthcare Administration, or related field
5+ years of experience in contract management, pricing strategy, or commercial operations, preferably in medical device or healthcare
Strong understanding of contract structure, legal terminology, and negotiating principles
Experience managing customer or payer contracts, pricing structures, or sales-contract workflows
Proficiency with ERP and CRM systems (NetSuite and Salesforce strongly preferred)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Experience supporting contract transitions during M&A, divestiture, or spin-out environments
Familiarity with IDNs, ASCs, GPOs, and hospital contracting processes
Prior experience mentoring or supervising contracting or pricing staff
Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced, build-from-scratch environment
