The Lead Truck Technician will oversee and perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on medium and large trucks, while also leading and mentoring a team of technicians to ensure efficient shop operations and compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of truck technicians, providing guidance and technical support

Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on engines (Trucks and Application equipment), transmissions, electrical systems, and hydraulics, etc

Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life

Assign work orders and monitor progress to ensure timely completion

Maintain compliance with safety protocols and DOT regulations

Train team members on new technologies, tools, and best practices

Adhere to all company and government safety policies and laws (i.e., viewing safety films, understanding right to know laws, fire, and explosion precautions, lock out - tag out, etc.)

Communicate with management regarding workflow, parts inventory, and equipment needs

Communicate effectively with team regarding repair status and recommendations

Ensure accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance activities
