Prosum is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a small, high-impact front-end engineering team. This role combines people management with hands-on technical leadership, focusing on guiding a team that includes junior engineers and driving front-end development initiatives using React.

Responsibilities

Directly manage 4–6 software engineers, including junior team members

Provide coaching, mentorship, performance feedback, and career development guidance

Foster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture

Support onboarding and development of junior engineers

Lead front-end development initiatives using React and modern JavaScript frameworks

Guide architectural and technical decisions while promoting best practices

Partner with engineers on solution design, code quality, and technical tradeoffs

Balance technical depth with managerial responsibilities

Lead the team through 2-week sprint cycles, including planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives

Collaborate with Product, Design, and cross-functional partners to deliver business value

Operate within a corporate, structured environment while supporting a transition toward SAFe or scaled Agile practices

Identify risks, remove blockers, and ensure predictable delivery

Required

7+ years of professional software engineering experience

2+ years of Software Engineering Management experience

Prior people management experience, including managing performance and career growth

Strong front-end development experience, particularly with React

Experience working in a corporate or enterprise environment

Hands-on experience working in 2-week sprint cycles

Experience mentoring or managing junior engineers

Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills

Preferred

Experience with SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks

AWS Cloud experience

Background transitioning teams from traditional or hybrid models toward Agile

Familiarity with modern front-end tooling, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
