Upper School Math & Computer Science Teacher
Head-Royce School is seeking a full-time Upper School mathematics teacher to join their team, beginning in August 2026. The role involves creating engaging classrooms that encourage experiential learning and participating in Upper School duties, while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for students.

Responsibilities
Experience teaching math at a variety of levels from Geometry through Calculus
Empathetic and clear communicator with students, colleagues, and parents
Demonstrated understanding of and curiosity regarding curriculum design as well as varied pedagogical approaches including UbD and UDL
Strong speaking, writing, planning, and organizational skills
Understanding and support of Head-Royce’s core values with strong emphasis on equity and social justice
Ability to participate in an outdoor education trip for three nights (additional stipend paid)
Collaboration and flexibility
Demonstrated knowledge and practice of culturally responsive teaching and learning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics
2 years minimum teaching experience
Previous teaching experience
Proven ability to teach a variety of math classes at the high school level
Ability to provide proof of Fingerprint and TB clearance
Experience teaching math at a variety of levels from Geometry through Calculus
Empathetic and clear communicator with students, colleagues, and parents
Demonstrated understanding of and curiosity regarding curriculum design as well as varied pedagogical approaches including UbD and UDL
Strong speaking, writing, planning, and organizational skills
