Responsibilities
Drafting court filings and discovery requests
Prepare subpoenas to third parties with excellent follow-up
Maintain and organize case documents according to firm policies
Prepare exhibits for depositions and hearings
Provide trial support to attorneys
Research rules of legal procedure and substantive law, including cite checking
Proactive management of attorneys’ calendars
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a paralegal in probate, trust, and civil litigation
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and time effectively
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Deadline driven
Proficiency in e-filing
Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy and completeness; strong proofreading skills
Have exceptional case management experience and attention to detail
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and legal/office software such as Clio, Adobe, etc
Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times
Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
Billable hour requirements
Must be a certified paralegal
