Cadence Business System Analyst Senior

Responsibilities
Acquire and maintain proficiency in Epic Cadence application
Become an expert in existing functionality of patient access software, including Cadence, Welcome, MiChart, Referrals and automated reminders
Become the subject matter expert on forthcoming functionality for Cadence, Welcome, MiChart and other patient access applications
Acquire a strong understanding of existing access workflows across Michigan Medicine and more detailed knowledge regarding workflows relevant to assigned projects
Work with complex build requirements and workgroups, demonstrating sophisticated knowledge of integration of Epic (MiChart) workflows and applications and problem analysis to provide solutions for organizational needs
Lead project management activities including planning, execution, and monitoring of initiatives to ensure timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals
Develop project plans, including implementation and evaluation of projects
Assemble and lead workgroups and other meetings to determine build requirements and develop workflows within Cadence and/or other access software applications
Provide summaries, updates, and reports to stakeholders, manager, and team members as needed
Document build standards and processes for functionality, including why decisions were made
Prepare and lead presentations via webinars, leadership meetings, and operational meetings
Identify which metrics are best used to answer given questions or monitor ongoing issues
Leverage knowledge of Cadence and other access applications to work with other teams to develop queries, dashboards, and reports
Interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to form recommendations on how to change, leverage, or implement available software functionality and the corresponding work effort
Lead and facilitate approved access initiatives
Participate in review of access goals
Provide support, education, and assistance to end users to address ServiceNow requests
Assist analysts completing Template Change Requests as needed
Meet with clinics to discuss, educate, and assist with MiChart functionality
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field and 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft business tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Capable of working in a diverse, multidisciplinary team and interacting with all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills. Ability to articulate facts and ideas clearly and concisely
Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and clearly articulate potential solutions
Must exhibit confidence in the facilitation of meetings, and conflict resolution
Time management and organization skills
Demonstrated experience in project management, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects using structured methodologies and tools
Demonstrated ability to work effectively during a period of institutional change
Epic Cadence proficiency is a requirement for this position. Training will be provided for a period of 12 weeks should a successful candidate not already be proficient. Failure to obtain this required training though will result in termination from the University
Preferred
Knowledge of Michigan Medicine policies and procedures
Knowledge surrounding patient scheduling, registration, consult/order workflows and MiChart reports
