Responsibilities
Directly responsible to the management team for company financial reporting and data integrity
Bookkeeping - AR/AP, payroll administration, cost accounting, banking (works in response to needs as defined by CFO), and routine and year-end close-out requirements in preparation for CPA tax filings, financial audits, reports, and other requirements
Reviews support staff work and processes payables and receivables
Asset management and record keeping for property renditions
Sales tax reporting to state Comptroller's office
File and data management
Qualification
Required
Must have experience in a similar position in support of a dynamic, growing contracting company
Mature, disciplined, and trustworthy - part of the management team that maintains confidential records and accounts
Strong accounting experience in the construction industry. an accounting degree is a plus
Knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise—Contractor Version Accounting Software (essential), Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (essential) and ACT! Contact Database (preferred)
Experience in accounting for processing invoicing, payables, receivables, and posting of job costs to projects
Work and set up Excel spreadsheets for data management
Familiarity in reporting certified payroll under the Davis-Bacon Act
Must have excellent detail orientation and job focus under multiple deadlines and requirements
Ability to work in a predominately technical and professional environment, as well as coordinate with trade-oriented personnel
Excellent references, excellent driving record, electrical experience desired
Preferred
Experience in migration to an ERP system is preferred
