Responsibilities

Designs and plans network systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network systems

Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network

Monitor network performance and circuit utilization, identifying and resolving any issues proactively. Providing updates on projects, outages, and resolution efforts

Troubleshoot circuit-related problems, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to achieve resolution. Implement and manage circuit failover procedures and disaster recovery plans

Manage relationships with telecommunications providers and other vendors. Liaise with service providers to ensure timely response to network circuits issues according to technical specifications and business needs

Conduct regular reviews of service provider performance, ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance and addressing any issues

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all circuit information, including configurations, capacities, and costs

Prepare and present regular reports on circuit status, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives

Required

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience

In-depth understanding of WAN technologies, IP networking, and telecommunications standards

Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools

Active TS/SCI clearance

Must have Security+ or equivalent Cybersecurity Workforce certification
