INFORMATION TECHNICAL ANALYST III

Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and optimize the Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune environments, ensuring platform stability, performance, and alignment with organizational standards
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive endpoint and lifecycle tasks using scripting and platform-native capabilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy configuration profiles, compliance policies, scripts, and application deployments for macOS, iOS/iPadOS, and Windows devices
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Jamf Pro and Intune, ensuring high availability and reliable endpoint management services
Implement and enforce security baselines, compliance controls, and endpoint protection policies using Jamf Pro and Intune, in alignment with organizational security requirements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for Jamf Pro and Intune configurations, workflows, and standard operating procedures
Oversee Apple device provisioning using Apple School Manager, ensuring seamless enrollment and lifecycle integration with Jamf Pro
Oversee Windows device provisioning and lifecycle management using Microsoft Intune, including modern enrollment and deployment methods
Manage and continuously improve device enrollment, deployment, and lifecycle processes across Apple and Windows platforms
Support endpoint integration with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including device identity, group membership, and access alignment
Assist with Microsoft 365 administration related to endpoint management, including user licensing, device-based access considerations, and service integration
Collaborate with identity and security teams to ensure Intune, Entra ID, and M365 services are aligned with organizational access and compliance standards
Participate in troubleshooting issues related to device authentication, access to Microsoft 365 services, and identity-related endpoint behaviors
Provide advanced support for Windows and Mac devices, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software
Manage and support multiple operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS, etc.), ensuring systems are up to date and secure
Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve service delivery
Lead the daily administration of servers and desktop workstations. This role involves managing the complex configuration, installation, and maintenance of operating systems, software upgrades, RAM, third-party applications, and peripheral equipment
Diagnose complex hardware and software problems, manage, and recommend system configuration changes, and provide consulting on system purchase and retirement issues
Examine system log and error files and using standard OS tools to assess system load and performance
Provide basic support and answer routine end-user questions related to user accounts, tape archival and retrieval, printing, mail and network access, and other system-related inquiries
This role involves coordinating work related to vendor maintenance agreements and tracking design and operational problems to be resolved by the vendors
Log maintenance, system configurations, and hardware/software repairs. This role also involves maintaining records for system hardware/software modifications and managing licenses for individual software packages
Analyze and optimize laboratory computer systems and network configurations
Write and develop tools to create maintenance and tracking logs and write web interface to system documentation
Organizes and teaches computer and network training sessions for end-users and systems administrators. Prepares lectures and written materials
Determines feasibility of new operating systems and system software upgrades with consideration of application and hardware requirements
Track and manage support requests using our ITSM platform
Qualification
Required
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
+ Minimum 5 years of relevant Windows and Mac OSX system administration experience, or equivalent training and experience in a networked, enterprise environment
+ Understanding of host and network monitoring tools
+ Extensive hands-on experience administering Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune, including management of Apple and Windows endpoints
+ Strong understanding of macOS, iOS/iPadOS, and Windows operating systems and their respective ecosystems
+ Knowledge of endpoint security frameworks and best practices, including device compliance, configuration profiles, and policy enforcement across Jamf Pro and Intune
+ Experience using Apple School Manager for device provisioning and integration with Jamf Pro and other MDM solutions
+ Understanding of the Apple School Manager ecosystem and its role in modern device enrollment workflows
+ Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID in an enterprise environment
+ Experience supporting endpoint-related integrations with Microsoft 365 services
+ Familiarity with identity concepts such as device trust, group-based access, and conditional access alignment
+ This is an on-campus position requiring 5 days per week working onsite from our La Jolla campus
Preferred
Jamf Pro Certification is highly desirable; Microsoft endpoint management–related certifications are a plus
