Industrial Design LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with a current PE license to lead electrical design and development for semiconductor-related projects. The ideal candidate will oversee a team and ensure project compliance with industry standards while mentoring junior engineers and managing project delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design and engineering projects, mainly for the semiconductor industry, ensuring the highest quality standards are met

Lead and manage a team of drafters, designers, and junior engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure successful project delivery

Perform detailed electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, and backup systems, tailored to the unique needs of semiconductor facilities

Collaborate with architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, process piping teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into broader project designs

Ensure that electrical designs are compliant with local and national codes, as well as industry best practices and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, etc.)

Oversee the preparation of electrical design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculation reports

Conduct power system studies and simulations, including fault analysis, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies

Review and approve work from junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and mentorship to foster their professional growth

Interface directly with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and timely resolution of any design-related issues

Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards

Prepare construction documents and participate in construction administration

Required

Professional Engineer (PE) License in Electrical Engineering (required)

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

5-10 years of experience in electrical design engineering

In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE, and other relevant standards

Proven track record of leading electrical design projects from concept to completion

Experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers, drafters, and designers in the delivery of electrical systems

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex issues

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and clients

Experience with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Easy Power, SKM, Etap or similar platforms

Prior experience with Semiconductor, cleanroom or industrial projects

Experience with medium and low voltage systems, backup power systems (UPS, generators), and electrical safety design in semiconductor manufacturing environments

Familiarity with sustainable or energy-efficient design practices and systems

Proficiency in project management and experience leading teams in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment
