Small Commercial Underwriter Trainee

Responsibilities
Develop strong, collaborative relationships with agents and wholesalers to understand their needs and support their efforts in growing their business
Implement effective sales and marketing strategies to promote our Workers’ Compensation and BOP policies through various digital channels
Evaluate and underwrite small commercial accounts to ensure profitable growth while adhering to company guidelines and standards
Track and analyze the performance of the book of business, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary changes
Provide exceptional support to agents and wholesalers, addressing any inquiries or issues promptly and professionally
Make impactful decisions with little oversight
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study: Business, Liberal Arts or a related discipline
Experience: 6 months of underwriting experience
Preferred
Experience underwriting small business accounts is strongly preferred
Beginning coursework toward certification in area of expertise preferred; appropriate certifications could include Associate in Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty
