Administrative Specialist I-Harnett Correctional
The State of North Carolina's Department of Adult Correction is responsible for the care and supervision of adults sentenced for violating laws. They are seeking an Administrative Specialist I to provide daily contact with offenders and assist the Medical Department with clerical tasks, including maintaining medical records and appointment scheduling.

Typing
Medical reports
Filing, appointment scheduling and telephone completeness
Maintaining medical records on site in a confidential manner and preforming clerical functions as assigned in complinace with the requirements of the health care procedures manual
The Medical Records Assistant ensures all records are initiated, processed and transferred in a correct and timely manner
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience performing administrative functions in an office setting
Experience in organization, retention, review and filing of records
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
