Responsibilities

HVAC systems design includes heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential, multifamily housing and commercial projects
Develop and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
Perform load calculations, energy modeling, equipment selection, duct sizing, and Hydronic pipes sizing
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (CMC, UMC, IMC, CEES, CPC, CGC, CFC, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA)
Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications using design software (AutoCAD, Revit)
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects
Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC design engineering
Proficiency in HVAC design software (Revit, Energy Pro. Title 24, Carrier HAP, and AutoCAD)
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, codes, and standards. (CMC, IMC, CPC, NFPA, CBC)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship or a work visa

Preferred

EIT certification is a plus
LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices
Advanced knowledge of energy efficiency and green building technologies
