Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain comprehensive financial models that evaluate EMS procurement strategies, supplier performance, and enable data-driven decision making for multi-million dollar procurement decisions across avionics, electrical power, battery, and mechanical systems
Develop detailed cost forecasts and budget plans for EMS procurement that inform Leo's satellite production roadmap and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency gains
Partner with EMS procurement stakeholders to analyze and influence supplier agreements, contract structures, and pricing models, drafting written financial summaries for Leo leadership review
Develop and implement scalable reporting mechanisms that provide visibility into key procurement performance indicators including purchase order tracking, inventory turnover, supplier performance metrics, and cost variance analysis for executive leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred

MBA, or CPA
5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
