City Engineer
Allegiance Staffing is currently seeking a motivated professional to lead its Engineering Department. This position oversees the City’s infrastructure, including water and sewer systems, wastewater treatment, streets and sidewalks, and stormwater operations.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage all City engineering services and coordinate work with other departments
Plan and oversee infrastructure projects, including water distribution, wastewater collection/treatment, streets, stormwater, and traffic
Provide engineering design services and supervise preparation of construction plans, bids, and contract documents
Manage GIS functions and support integration of GIS across departments
Select, oversee, and evaluate contractors and consultants; review plans, specs, and payment requests
Coordinate projects with NCDOT and public/private utilities
Oversee right-of-way and easement acquisition
Supervise wastewater treatment operations to ensure regulatory compliance
Review stormwater and sediment control plans; address related citizen concerns
Review subdivision, development, and rezoning plans for compliance with codes and standards
Prepare and manage departmental budgets; assist with capital planning
Recruit, train, and evaluate staff; enforce safety procedures
Support long-range planning for city infrastructure; advise City Manager and City Council
Ensure compliance with changing water, wastewater, stormwater, and safety regulations
Handle citizen inquiries and represent the department at public meetings
Perform other related duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
5–7 years of engineering experience in a municipal or governmental setting
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina
Valid NC driver's license
Preferred
Management experience preferred
