Responsibilities
Lead major component exchanges, including high-level mechanical and electrical systems, such as gearboxes, generators, and other critical components
Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on wind turbines
Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, providing leadership on jobsites
Supervise and train junior technicians (Field Service Technicians I and II) and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Review and ensure that all service work is completed with efficiency and precision
Prepare and review detailed service reports, including assessments of turbine health and parts performance
Work closely with project managers to ensure service schedules and timelines are met
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certifications or degree in renewable energy or wind turbine technology preferred
5+ years of hands-on experience with wind turbine maintenance, repairs, and component exchange
Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company's Zero Injury principles
Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Proven ability to lead teams and mentor technicians
Commitment to proactive safety culture, with a focus on zero-harm practices
Required to travel to different jobsites on a limited notice
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on service excellence
Preferred
advanced technical certifications or degree in renewable energy or wind turbine technology
